We are a Brno-based team building Lunchdrive since 2013 — a platform that simplifies every aspect of staff catering for companies and food providers.
A little history never hurt anyone…
When a group of university friends built a simple ordering app in 2013 so they would not have to walk around their office collecting lunch orders with a pencil, they had no idea that within a few years it would become one of the fastest-growing SaaS products in the Czech Republic. If Forbes says so, it must be true.
Lunchdrive has become synonymous with a modern, simple and user-friendly staff catering platform. Its features make daily work easier for food-service teams, canteens and cafeterias, while HR, finance and operations managers value the control it provides. And diners? They sign in online or tap at a terminal and order for the entire week in seconds. Thanks to our open approach and REST API, Lunchdrive exchanges data with IMA vending machines, bespoke company attendance systems, OKbase and Giriton. Forbes covered that story too.

2013It began with pencil and paper
A group of university friends in Brno did not want to walk from desk to desk collecting lunch orders, so they built a simple app.

2015Lunchdrive enters the workplace
The internal tool becomes a platform for canteens, cafeterias and staff catering, including the first collection terminals.

Michaela Závodná
CMOMichaela knows Lunchdrive, online products, user behaviour and the pain points in both processes and emotions inside out. She can step back and shape the foundations of solutions for the possible and seemingly impossible across operations and company structures. She enjoys running, theatre and travel.

Senior Backend DeveloperReza is our big-hearted guardian of the code. His deep development expertise moves Lunchdrive forward every day. He finds solutions where others would stop, earning our endless admiration and gratitude. He is learning Czech, has mastered latte art and is an excellent cook.

Outside Lunchdrive, as the father of Animefest he can fill the Brno Exhibition Centre with a sea of costumes, while his fingerprints can also be found in Oxford dictionaries. That makes him our resident expert in English turns of phrase and humour par excellence.
Martin Čihák
Frontend DeveloperMartin works on the Lunchdrive app, refining it and fitting its many features onto the mobile screens we all carry in our pockets — no small task. He enjoys cycling, the sauna, travelling and, of course, eating.
Tomáš Mička
Frontend DeveloperTomáš also works on the visible side of Lunchdrive, focusing on the web application. He loves arranging interface elements and will not start without a precise, meaningful definition. Dark humour, radical honesty, music and guitar complete his distinctive personality.
Martin Gaidos
Tester and Junior DeveloperMartin has only been with us a short time, but his performance is remarkable. He got up to speed at extraordinary pace, finds solutions and verifies bugs as though he had worked on Lunchdrive for years. He has a bright future ahead and loves hiking, hills and views.

HR & FinanceLucie oversees Lunchdrive from legal, accounting, process and business perspectives. She understands how company structures work, what each person handles and what they will need over time. She keeps calculations for discounts, surcharges and their relationships accurate. Visual DesignerIllustrations, icons, manuals, visuals — and this entire website from header to footer. If something in Lunchdrive looks good, Štěpánka designed it. If it does not, she was probably at lunch. She does love lunch. She wonders whether the world is merely a construct of our minds; if it is, she at least wants it beautifully designed.
